Dear Wake Forest community,

We are writing today to thank you for the remarkable contributions you have made to our community by participating in the Belonging and Inclusion Campus Evaluation survey. Because of your commitment to sharing your experiences, we were able to achieve strong response rates, including: 28% participation from students, 52% from faculty, and 61% from staff.*

Now that the survey has closed, we want to share next steps as we aim to use analysis of these findings to increase Wake Foresters’ access to all that Wake Forest has to offer. First, over the next few months and into the summer, Rankin Climate (our external consultant) will analyze the survey data. Furthermore, Rankin will conduct targeted focus groups to collect qualitative data that deepens our understanding of initial survey results. Finally, during the fall 2024 semester, we will offer opportunities for the University community to learn about the results, as well as discuss findings. Please make sure to visit campusclimate.wfu.edu between next steps, as well as to learn more about additional points for engagement and feedback.

While the survey has concluded, the ongoing work remains: how can each of us, through individual and collective action, foster a campus environment that recognizes individuals’ needs, abilities, and potential so that all can feel a sense of inclusion and belonging. Thank you in advance for your continued commitment to our shared sense of community.

Sincerely,
Belonging and Inclusion Campus Evaluation Executive Committee

* Update September 9, 2024: final totals as reported by Rankin Climate are lower than originally reported totals; the final totals removed incomplete surveys (i.e., surveys with not enough responses to be considered complete for data analysis)
