Project Update

March 12, 2025

The Campus Climate Task Group is pleased to share an update on the University’s response to the results of the 2024 Campus Climate Survey. As you know, the purpose of this project is to assess student, faculty, and staff sense of belonging and climate at Wake Forest, identifying both successes and opportunities for improvement. These findings will guide the development of an action plan to address the areas for improvement that were identified in the survey.

We appreciate the engagement during the interactive community forums held this past fall. These forums marked the beginning of our Action Planning phase, ensuring that the valuable insights gained from the survey translate into tangible improvements at Wake Forest.

In January, the Campus Climate Task Group began meeting weekly to discuss the areas of focus identified based on the survey recommendations and drafting proposed steps that would facilitate positive change on our campus. Later this Spring, the Task Group will present this information to University leadership for review and implementation.

* Update November 1, 2024: final totals as reported by Rankin Climate are lower than originally reported totals; the final totals removed incomplete surveys (i.e., surveys with not enough responses to be considered complete for data analysis)
